I'm a native Texan, born in Dallas and raised in Ft. Worth. I went to college in San Marcos, where I received my Bachelors in Music Ed and Master of Music from Texas University. I did further graduate work in Lubbock, TX, and received a Ph.D. from Texas Tech University.
I taught music at Texas U. and Texas Tech, am a singer and composer, and have been inducted in the International "Who's Who" in music. I have sung professionally in contemporary Christian groups, choirs and musicals. I was a junior high choir director, and was on faculty at Butler University and University of Indianapolis, teaching music theory, voice and piano.
I was the Director of Music at Reese Air Force base in Lubbock, where I met my husband. Chuck, a native Hoosier, was the base environmental health officer (Veterinarian Epidemiology). We married in June 1989. I moved to Indy in 1989 and earned my real estate license in 1991.
I started my real estate career at Graves Real Estate, and was their "Rookie of the Year" in 1992. In 1994, I moved to Century 21, and was there for 10 years. I was a 7-time Centurion, and achieved the "Hall of Fame" award. My last year with C21 I sold over $20 million.
I am proud to be an owner of the first Keller Williams Franchise in central Indiana. In January 2004, we opened the Indianapolis Metro North with 12 agents, and have grown to over 120 agents (as of the Fall, 2007.) I also have ownership in the Indianapolis Metro Northeast and Lafayette offices as well. I love the Keller Williams, and the different business model it offers agents. I especially enjoy our corporate culture. We work for a "win-win" in all of our dealings (with clients and with each other.) Our office is a positive, upbeat place to work. Agents are very supportive and helpful to each other. We are an open books company, and the top 20% of agents are our board of directors for the office, making important decisions on all aspects of running the bussiness. Keller Williams also offers the best training in the industry. I have cutting-edge training in all fields of real estate, such as the lastest technology trends, advanced client services and negotiations, to name a few. I am grateful to be part of such a dynamic, life-changing company!
I have my CRS and GRI designations, as well as being a graduate of the Real Estate Academy of Leadership. I have a beautiful daughter, Caitlin, who is 7 years old, and a pointer dog, named Freckles. I enjoy karate (I'm a 2nd degree black belt), watching movies, swimming and boating. I especially like to go fast in my boat at our lake house in Heritage Lake.
